Hello, 22 year old college graduate moving from Louisiana to Nashville in a few weeks. I will be working in Lavergne, TN and am looking for a safe and affordable place (around 800 a month) to live within a 30 minute driving distance of Lavergne. I haven't read too many good things regarding Antioch or Lavergne as far as living conditions. Any help would be appreciated.

Can't say what it's like now, but many years ago when my dad worked in Lavergne, we lived in Smyrna. Nice, small town when we lived there. I'm sure it has grown tremendously since we were there, however, it may be worth checking into. I see from your post that you are moving from Lousiaian. Coincidentally, I currently live in SW Louisiana. Good luck in Tennessee and in your residence search!

As was said...Smyrna, there are two large apartment complexes right near the interstate, and i think they have places for your price range. And not all parts of LaVergne or Antioch are bad, do a drive through of an area before relocating..

One is Stone Ridge Farms is one. (I lived there prior to buying my house..). I am unsure of the name of the other. If you are driving down I-24 (exit 66) it one sits up on the hill behind the Peterbilt dealership. The other (Stone Ridge) is down Sam Ridley Blvd., on Chaney Blvd. I know the Stone Ridge one is gated, has a pool, small gym, and at night has an armed guard on premise...

Rents are high everywhere around town, it seems. Actually...finding places with low rent makes you think there might be issues.
