I just moved to NV a few weeks ago and I finally have some free time to explore the city this weekend. I live in the Bellevue area and would like to find some free/inexpensive things to do on that side of town. I've been to the Parthenon already (which was great!). Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated.

On a side note, this forum rocks! Seriously, I have found out a ton of reliable info from this forum and am very, very appreciative.

Warner Parks; do you have a dog? Edwin Warner Park has a good dog park.

Also drive down Chickering Rd to see the cool house at 1644, then take Page Road just for beauty and to see "Rayna's house" from the Nashville series.

Take in the view from Love Circle. Flip off John Rich's house as you drive past it.

Walk around the Peabody College side of Vanderbilt as well as the Scaritt Bennett Center campus.

Miss Cheap from the Tennessean has a great column of free or cheap things to do around Nashville.

Ms. Cheap | Get more for less

I'm thinking of going and hanging out at the Starbucks at the airport and watching for the "Nashville" folks to come back to town . . . .

Why flip off John Rich's house? What did he do to you or the OP?

The Tour de Fat is a free beer and bikes festival in Centennial Park tomorrow. The cashier at Trader Joe's told me about it. Sounds interesting. Looks like there will be live music as well. Info on the link below.

Built a big ugly house on Love Circle and have parties that disturb the neighbors.

There are bigger issues on Love Circle than just Mr. Rich's house and parties...seems to be a popular local hangout also that has had a history of problems. I will admit, it is a great looking, modern house with a hell of a view. No different, IMHO, than developers coming into Sylvan Park, 12South, etc and tearing down old homes and building modern-style homes for $600,000+.
