There is also a Rite Aid two blocks away, a Piggly Wiggly grocery about 5 blocks away and getting to larger stores like Target, Costco, etc. is really easy via Charlotte Pike or West End. One thing I really love is that I have a unit that faces downtown and my view is awesome! They give Vandy employees a discount on the app and admin fee here, so be sure to tell them you work there. There are also two other major hospital complexes (aside from Vandy) that are within a couple of blocks - so lots of options. The gym here is great and there are some restaurant options, a salon, and barre studio on the first floor. It was just as pricey as the Gulch, but there was no comparison for convenience. It would probably take you no more than 10 minutes to walk to the Vandy medical center from here.

Oh, and the complex is new - I think just about a year old. I was the first to live in this unit. People are moving in every day.
Thanks... will definitely check it out next week.

Came yesterday.. Haven't found anything yet solid.

-park central: ideal, but seriously??? 910 sq feet for $2650... can hardly fit a sofa in there.
-elliston 23: my wife doesn't like the rustic cement unfinished ceilings... feels cold.
-eleven north, 2300 berry hill: are in the projects!! (although nice apartments).
-west end village: not bad, finally. centennial park is close, great. but reviews on line, people say ultra thin walls, can hear everything.

Note 16, seeing it tomorrow. Hopeful.
Bell Historic Franklin, seeing it tomorrow.. although a bit further out.
Marquee @ Belle Meade, seeing tomorrow.

Question: any communities like 15 minutes outside of Vandy area that have modern/new/higher end interiors? Like landings of brentwood I went to... but the interior is not me.

sorry...
Meaning there was little green surrounding these two properties... more like an en electrical company with all kinds of towers and wires/ a train/ highways.

Trying now to see if there are any apartment communities that are new and near the Vandy area.
Bell Historic Franklin is beautiful (except for a loud train right by the buildings).. and wish something like it was closer to Vandy.

found one... District at Seven Springs (300 seven springs way, Brentwood).

It's that versus West End Village vs. Elliston 23.

Not sure if it matters to you, but the "gym" at West End Village is pretty much non-existent whereas Elliston 23's is awesome. That was pretty much a deal breaker for me there. (Well, that and the unit available overlooked a shed and was small)

I know what you mean about the ceilings. I personally don't mind them, but my Mom thought cement was weird. On the plus side, you really don't hear noise from above you though.

What has been your experience?

There may be some. Since I'm at work during the day, I probably would miss them. There are supposedly a number of students here, though the people I have seen look like they are late 20s or older. I've met a couple of my neighbors, but most people seem to stay to themselves. Always nice in the elevators, though. They have recently tried to have a couple of resident social events, but they schedule them for 4:30 - 6 so I think that is too early for most people. I tried showing up at 5:15 - 5:30 after work, and there was no one there. Maintenance has been quick to respond when I had light bulbs burn out, etc. It's a nice building overall and I LOVE being able to walk to work.
