Does Nashville have any restaurants or social clubs for older people?

Thanks.

There are probably Meetup groups. The libraries has things that are probably attended mostly by seniors.

When the Senior Citizens Center was on Broadway we used to go there for lunch sometimes (anyone can eat there; they just pay a different price if they're not members). The people working or volunteering there were a friendly bunch. They have since moved. There is also something called Fifty Forward, but I don't know much about it. Out in my neighborhood, if someone is a member of the YMCA they can also join FF if they're old enough.

Where I live (Bellevue), there is some kind of senior group that meets at the community center. I don't know what the group is (I do know it's hard to find a place to park at the library when they're having one of their luncheons).

Over in MetroCenter there is a retired teachers apartment building with a cafeteria (behind Crest Honda). It's another place where anyone can go for lunch.

There is a 50 Forward Senior Center in Bellevue, the JL Turner Center:

The 50 Forward Martin Center here in Brentwood always has something going on. I'm sure the one in Bellevue does too.

You shouldn't have too much problem finding a few like-minded folks in Bellevue. There is quite a large senior population.

Some other ideas: See if the Warner Parks Center has things especially geared towards seniors, Cheekwood (classes and groups), the Harpeth River Greenway (I might see you there some morning; look for a tall fellow who is NOT power walking), there are groups of seniors that come to the Barn Dinner Theater (from where, I'm not sure), there is a golf driving range off of Old Harding (if you're in to golf and just want to hit a few balls), the Red Caboose Park is mostly a kiddie park but it does have a walking track (again, you might see me there)--it's right next to the community center and library.

Welcome to Bellevue. I hope you enjoy it here. I've lived here since about 1985. We're a little short of nightlife and nice restaurants, but most things are within a short drive (do try the Loveless Cafe, Antonio's, the Alley Pub, and the City Limits Cafe).

Wednesdays are seniors days at Publix, I think. There is usually some kind of "penny sale" (a half-gallon of bleach for 1-cent, that sort of thing).

John1960: Assuming 1960 is your birth year, please tell me you're not the 'senior' here.

Yes 1960 is my birthday but I like hanging out with Seniors. I've learned that young people in there 18-30 years doesn't like to hang-out with people my age.

Maybe it's you? I have lots of friends here under 40, in fact probably a bigger percentage than over 40.

Like I read yesterday, "What is your MENTAL zip code?" I like that.
