Hi! I'm relocating to Nashville & someone suggested that I start applying to Temp Agencies. I do have a (retail) store job @ a major chain that I can be transferred to, but working @ a Temp Agency it would give me a much better income & more of a professional job. So, what I wanted to know is:

Are there any Arts companies/organizations like TN Arts Commission or TPAC that would be clients that these Temp Agencies work with?

Meaning, if I were to temp with Wood Personnel Staffing

Would they have (Arts) Organizations/Companies such as TN Arts Commission or TPAC as 1 of their Employers that they would recruit their clients to?

(I'm just using Wood Personnel Staffing as an example.) Please let me know. I'm sure a place like the TPAC would have Offices that work behind the scenes of all the different performances & events that occur.

Any information would be very helpful. I'm open to any suggestions. Thanks!!

Wouldn't it be easier to just ask TPAC who they use? I'm sure they'd be happy to tell you.

TPAC Department Listing and Telephone Numbers
Administration: 615-782-4000
Human Resources: 615-782-4000

Good luck!

Akim,

Thank you for your suggestion. However, I was just using the "TPAC" as an example. & yes, that's what I was trying to point out (that). BESIDES, just going Directly to the Place (TPAC - As an Example) blindsided or out cold I wanted to go thru a Temp Agency. I figured that if you know someone who's connected w/ them (Example: TPAC) then it would be easier to get your foot in the door rather than you just Cold Calling. I mean the Temp Agency is the one who Sends you to Them. So, that's why I was saying if there are any Temp Agencies that would Recruit Job Seekers to these Arts Companies. But I really do appreciate your info. & your support. Thank you for your kindness.

Yeah, I get it. My suggestion was to ask the companies you have selected which agency they use. It's not uncommon. I used to get that a lot where I used to work, for reasons such as yours.

I hope it works out for you.
