I know that I-24 W gets clogged between Murfreesboro and Nashville in the morning. Until my apartment gets ready, I'm staying with friends in Manchester. I need to be at work by 8am in downtown. If I leave Manchester at 6am, will I miss the traffic?

Miss it, no. If you leave at 6, you will be probably in about Smyrna or Lavergne at 7 so that will put you smack in the middle of rush hour the rest of the way. I would probably leave around 5:30 to be safe.

This morning there was a bad wreck on 24 inbound. Even at 5:30-6:00 you need to be careful. Know where the exits are if you need an alternate route.
