Royal Thai in Franklin is closed? Wow, I didn't know that either . . . but the recent (past year) reviews on Urbanspoon have not been good. I thought it was overpriced. I DO like Jasmine, great deal at lunch.

What is going in next to Chick Fil A on Columbia in Franklin by Target on the way to Thompson Station? Looks like a restaurant going up.

'Tis a dentist's office.

The prices at Noshville are un-freaking-believable for a not-even-very-good version of what you get on every corner in New York. But I guess you can hold hostages when there's virtually nowhere else in the city to get matzoh ball soup.

That's so funny, because that's how I think of Hillsboro Road and even downtown Franklin, since I live near the northern end of the Carothers corridor.

I have to tell you that the number of people who walk up and down Carothers on the weekends is impressive. I would walk to Nucci's Gelato every day for some of the tiramisu flavor.

I really like the interactive map idea...

I'm still looking for a Maggianos, Legal Seafood, Mitchell's Fish Market to enter the Cool Springs market. Any of those would be way better fitting than Golden Corral lol.

Maggianos is on West End.

Legal Seafood is over priced and I don't think it would make it here.

I'd like to see a diner come in. J Christopher has the best breakfast in Cool Springs now, but I'd rather forego the Fiestaware and pay under $10 for my omelette. (Their coffee is goood, though, and great staff too!)

I remember when the Verizon store on Mallory Lane was a 5 and Diner, which my kids LOVED.

I do get tired of every restauranteur assuming that Cool Springs = $$$$.

I guess that's the point of the thread, though. The restaurant business is tough, and not one with which I am well acquainted. As Noshville's owners know, the formula for success here is difficult to figure out.
