What would be good to do in the Nashville metro tomorrow? Went to Cool Springs mall shopping for family, very impressed! Not dead like my local malls and almost as busy as the mall in Des Moines. I was in Franklin's downtown earlier this year. I'm considering either the Vanderbilt game or the zoo. Any communities I should pass through? I've been talking to some locals while out and about in Franklin this evening and most seem to think I could make about 50% more in salary than I could get in east TN. I have gotten some numbers and LinkedIn contacts today, so it's a start.

Hey Em, This is great news! Good start . .

Do you have kids with you? Cheekwood (botanical gardens) has decorated Christmas Trees and Santa and REINDEER on Saturdays.

Holiday at Cheekwood :: Cheekwood Botanical Garden & Museum of Art, Nashville, TN

The Franklin Farmers Market is fun . . not just produce . . some amazing warm cinnamon donuts well worth waiting in line for. Arts and crafts, a food truck or two!

It's Small Business Saturday and downtown Franklin has some special promotions:

Should be good weather for the zoo or the game!

If you are around Saturday night and can get to the Sunnyside LIghts it would really top off your trip! I mean, if you like lights! (in memory of his son BJ)

Enjoy your visit!

(I can't believe you braved the mall!!)

In the Vandy area you could try Centennial Park & the Parthenon. With Thanksgiving & Black Friday completed, the museum goes back to normal hours 9am-4:30 Mon-Sat & 12:30-4:30 Sun. $6 Adult & $4 child or senior is the price to go in to see Athena. Bring a camera to get plenty of pictures. May be a little early yet for holiday light display after dark.

Nearby there are plenty of nice places for fine dining.
