I just moved to Nashville from Illinois. I have ATT as my cellphone service provider. However, I don't get great reception. I'm not sure if it is the provider or the area - I live in the Bellevue area. Does anyone else have issues with cell phone service or is another company better than ATT?

Thanks

I second Verizon. While there are other providers out there, AT&T and Verizon are by far the two big players (I know, shocking). For my money, Verizon has better service.

I've had both AT&T and Verizon. In the Middle Tn to East TN areas Verizon has better coverage. I had a work issued AT&T phone a few years ago and calls would regularly be dropped in the city (around downtown Nashville which was very inconvenient since our office was in the city) and in rural areas. I'm no longer with the company but they did switch to Verizon because of this. I have heard AT&T coverage has gotten better since then but can't verify.

I am not downtown often but it does seem I lose (AT&T) service the closet I get to the AT&T building.

I'm serious!

Otherwise, have been happy with their coverage but if it doesn't work where you need it to, what else can you do but switch to Verizon!

We work INSIDE the AT&T building and those with AT&T have crappy service. My Verizon works fine.

We have AT&T but there seems to be poor reception in selected areas of Brentwood as acknowledged by AT&T. If you do have poor service with AT&T, you can request (demand) a cell tower booster which helped with the reception in our home. In retrospect, we should have considered Verizon but they didn't have the best international services. I would suggest you ask your neighbors as to who is the best provider. They will really know which company is better at your home/work location.

I live in Bellevue and use a cheap Tracfone LG smart phone. I've never had much trouble with it.
