Hello I am a soon to be divorced mom of three and I plan to move my family to Nashville within the very near future. I will be new to Nashville although I have lived in Guthrie Ky before (for those of you who don't know that is near Clarksville, Tenn). I have heard such wonderful things about Nashville and look forward to moving there. My problem is that I have very little personal experience with Nashville. I visited the area last weekend and have a few other planned trips to make there before moving but I am in need of some good sound advice on what area to move into and the best schools for my children. i need infor about high schools and grade schools. Any help I can get will be greatly appreciated.

You probably need to give us a rough price range. Also, I assume you want to send the kids to public school?

By the way, I'm orginally from Clarksville . . . and know quite well where Guthrie is (and that it's the birthplace of at least two famous people).

Davidson County Schools have received mostly failing grades lately...I'd recommend going to a suburb for schooling if it works for you economically. There are plenty of good places in Rutherford County that are relatively cheap and the schools are pretty good there from what I have read.
