What is your budget and how many bedrooms??? Some corner lots in Fieldstone have decent sized yards. Check River Rest and the Grassland area. Homes in Monticello have big yards but are older homes.

You may also want to check out Cottonwood which is basically the backyard of Fieldstone which has slightly older homes but very nicely kept up. Then there is Farmington, which is off of Berry's Chapel Road, which has very nice size lots, it is an older established neighborhood. Hunterwood is also nice and has a little more land than fieldstone. Once you are in Grassland, the commute up Hillsboro Road becomes increasingly easy, since you are past the elementary schools.

The earlier you go, the easier the commute is up Hillsboro. We found in our house that you are better off leaving before 7 or after 8:30 and you can zip up north. If you rely on I-65, then all it takes is one wreck and your commute is shot... and there are frequent wrecks!

I would agree on everything in this post.

My daughter went to school in Nashville. If we left at 6:55 we were golden. less than 25 minutes going up Hillsboro. If we left at 7:00 we were stuck behind buses on Old Hillsboro and Grassland school traffic. Currently I commute to work in Green Hills and I can basically fly there because I leave at 8:30.
