While it's something many of us have known for a long time, there is now additional proof that Williamson County Schools is among the top districts in the nation. According to the website schooldigger.com, which ranks schools and school districts, WCS is first in the nation among public school districts with more than 20,000 students.
WCS Ranks 1st in Nation Among Highest Performing School Districts

Among school districts with 10,000 or more students, WCS ranked 4th in the country.

Also, on a different site, Brentwood Middle School was just chosen as one of the top 50 middle schools in the country, and that list included public, private, charter, and magnet schools:

I knew you would post this!!

I think I will concede that this school district is good for many students, and that you could do a lot worse.
It's not the right fit for me or my son (although I am still willing to send my daughter next year and see how she likes middle school). Again, I will have to let you know in a year what she thinks..

I would point out that these rankings involve very large school districts. huge, actually. one of my son's complaints was that the school felt too big... and classes were too big. I think he and I are more "small liberal arts" type people.

It seemed timely.

I went to private school off and on while I was growing up and completely appreciate the value of a smaller environment. My sister did great at a big public school similar to Brentwood High. I much preferred being a big fish in a small pond.

I hope both of your kids have good experiences next year.

Thank you for that.
I went to public school my whole life and swore I'd never send my kids to private school, so go figure. Every school will have its pros and cons, that is to be certain. It may simply be about getting the right fit. At least we are all fortunate to have a variety of options where we live.
