We're relocating and our jobs are in Madison and Franklin and we want to split the mileage difference. What is a good, safe, affordable area? Our family is in Murfreesboro, but the commute to Madison would be nerve-racking. Thanks!

We need to know what you consider affordable.

I'm sorry; that would be helpful. We're looking for something $1500 per month and under for a 2-3 BR rental.

Kids, no kids? Schools a concern?

I would look in the Nipper's Corner area. It would put you sort of halfway between your jobs and wouldn't be a bad drive to Murfreesboro. It would also be well within your budget. I wouldn't recommend going east of Edmondson Pike.

If you have children, and they are elementary aged, they would likely be zoned for Granbery which is a good elementary school.

You could also look at Davidson County 37027 rentals. And Lenox Village.

Thanks! No kids, so schools aren't a concern.

Way too far.

I second the Nippers Corner recommendation.
