My mother's college girlfriends are rendez-vousing in Nashville. No one lives in Nashville. I JUST moved here. Thoughts on what they could do for 4 days?

Your help very appreciated.

What do they like to do (shopping during the day? Civil War history? museums?) and when are they coming?

They are coming in early October.

They like History. Perhaps the Hermitage?

Crafty/local interest shopping. Unique Nashville stores.

October should be great! The Hermitage is nice to go through for sure (although we went through it in July 2 years ago and almost died from the heat); I would definitely check out what concerts might be going on at The Ryman; send them to Boot Country located at 304 Broadway to buy some cowboy boots. They have buy one pair, get 2 pair free. Hubby and I buy boots every time we go to Nashville (we live in GA); drive out to The Loveless Café for breakfast (any meal, really... and I think they serve breakfast all day) - it's about 30 minutes away; if they like BBQ tell them to go to Jack's BBQ down on Broadway. Delish.... inexpensive.... not fancy. We love going through the Country Music Hall of Fame.

I am betting they will LOVE Downtown Franklin.

Carnton mansion tour

Hillsboro Village for hip walkable near Vanderbilt

Mike from American Pickers has a shop location here now, near downtown Nashville:

I would do the Hermitage/Opryland Hotel on day.

Downtown Franklin for shopping/eating plus the historic sites there one day.
Downtown Nashville/Country Music Hall of Fame and the Grand Ole Opry (if it works out) one day

You could also consider working in a Nash Trash tour, but you will need to reserve that pretty soon. And my sister loves the Antique Archeology place mentioned above if any of them are fans of the show.
