MetroCenter? If so, Cool Springs would be a big PITA, IMO.

Germantown would be super close and convenient. Maybe see about doing a sublease.

I thought when the OP said "north part of downtown" they meant both of Broadway but still in the center of downtown. Sorry!

Yes. I did find out that many of the apartments closer to downtown do require 12 or 15 month leases. A lot more flexible with shirt term leases as you move out farther. I actually was also interested in Bellevue. Any suggestions on that area?

German Town looks amazing!!! Very pricey. There are so many options! I really appreciate the input and suggestions.

I'm looking on Craigslist at subleases now. Thanks!

I had two friends who lived at Colonial Grand apartments in Bellevue. Both liked living there but this was a couple of years ago.

The one couple had a fabulous wood burning fireplace that made the place SO cozy in the winter . . . not sure about commute from there. Maybe you could take 40? Have no idea what that is like in the morning. I remember going over the hill there to the Kroger where there were a couple of decent family run restaurants!

They actually look like what I'm looking for! W/D in units. They do 3-15 month lease. I'm calling today, I noticed a lot won't be available until August. Thank you again!

Bellevue would be an easy drive to Metrocenter. Generally speaking, I-40 west of downtown towards Bellevue is pretty tame. You'll spend a minimal amount of time on the downtown interstate loop getting there, and the part of the loop you would use is the least congested part.

I would still look into sublets if you can. I subletted for a couple months once. Got a great apartment that was essentially furnished.
