Maybe im being too picky... But I dont want to pay money just to have my child sit and not learn a thing.
There is no guarantee of equal playing time. My oldest son sat a lot when he played for Brentwood Blaze. I will say he got much better coaching in youth football than he did on the school team.

My youngest son is bigger and stronger than his older brother was, though, and he has played a lot. In my experience, the team philosophy varies according to the coach, and you just never know what your experience will be like until you are on a team. And at certain ages and playing levels, if your son is above a certain weight, he will be a lineman no matter what. ("double-striper")

How old is your son?

My son is going on 8 in November.

I understand there is no guarantee of equal playing time. Nor should there be. But there is no excuse for having kids sit on the bench and not play at all for multiple games.

But, thats what a coworker was telling me. I have not seen it with my own eyes.. but if its true, i dont want to experience it either.

Ill make a decision this weekend i guess. I will definitely look more into this new league, once i gather more of an idea.

Thanks everyone

My kids attending the Flatrock open practice last month and enjoyed it.

We're going to continue on playing flag football though for a couple more seasons. We're in the Antioch Church of Christ sponsored Upward league. Small teams, max of 7 per team so there's lots of playing time and they learn multiple positions plus the price is right.
