Just read this news! Amazing addition to downtown, adding to the already planned/approved 40 + skyscrapers in the Nashville construction pipeline.

This one will be located right across from the convention center, across from the incredible JW Marriott, which is relatively "newer" itself, opening around 2016/17 or so.

There will be no shortage of hotel brand diversity in Nashville by the time the mid 2020s roll around.

Is there an operating flag yet? Or still unannounced?

It will be a Marriott Luxury Collection (unique name). Not announced yet, but I have a close relative who works for the developer. They'll be the premier convention hotel in the city.

The whole blocks surrounding the Music City Convention Center will be filled with skyscraper hotels soon. From JW Marriott to the Westin, to the Omni and The Ritz Carlton and now the lux Marriott brand.

Is it the Edition hotel announced in 2019 or something else?

No, the Edition is a different project located in the Gulch. This new announcement is in SoBro.

Yeah, this one is still sort of a mystery Marriott brand, but the height will fit in super nicely in that area, and make a good impact on the skyline.

I'm eager to see the Ritz Carlton tower break ground, as well as its companion full residential tower. I think the minor delay there is the upgrade/installation in that region of downtown, of the sewer system.

Once that has been finished, there will be 5-6 skyscrapers going up pretty much at one time, in the Korean Vets Blvd area near the Sticks circle.
