Chicago's The Hampton Social restaurant is opening its second location outside of Chicago in the newly-built 222 Tower on 2nd Ave South downtown. Located across from Ascend Amphitheater, The Hampton Social will cover 16,000 square feet (including 2,000 square feet outside) and three stories. The only other location outside of Chicago is currently in Naples FL.

If you have not seen these. These are worth a look. The first two are happening. The third is a concept, and the fourth is a proposal for the old West End Summit property. The fifth is starting phase 1 in August. Forgive me if these have already been posted.

According to 2017 estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau, the total consolidated city-county population stood at 691,243.[3] The "balance" population, which excludes semi-independent municipalities within Davidson County, was 667,560 (2017).[5] The 2017 population of the entire 13-county Nashville metropolitan area was 1,903,045, making it the largest metropolitan statistical area in Tennessee.[4] The 2015 population of the Nashville-Davidson–Murfreesboro–Columbia combined statistical area, a larger trade area, was 2,027,489.[10]

Depending how you count need 2018 results. Hey,2 years for 2020 census.

It looks like 505 Church might not be selling those condos as fast as they want. Got a marketing email from them today with a summer promo. 450 sq ft for $350K? No thanks.

$350,000 - $5,500,000

The lowest prices were 375K for an unfurnished 524 SQ FT unit and 400,000 for a furnished. I looked at them a few months ago. Market rate has changed since more condo's are about to open elsewhere. Just a price adjustment for the short term as I have been told.

They are clearing land for core drilling and flood water abatement issues. So far there has been no official announcement on an actual building as of yet.

Development Tracker and Bid Clerk are two websites where one can see what permits were pulled and who pulled them.

Propst out of Birmingham bought and will now develop Broad West, but as of right now no tenants have been reported, and Propst has no track record of high rise development. You can look at the projects on their website and notice they have not done anything of this scale. Since the site was already pre-excavated, they will have to build both buildings at the same time.

Everyone has their tastes. If I could afford a $50,000,000 penthouse in Manhattan, I would take it in a minute.

BTW, those units are designed as a 2nd or third home, and not designed for full time living. I was told the majority of people are buying them as a weekend place. There were several out of towers and out of staters on the tour I took.
