Hi everyone,
I have been searching the threads for a while now, but I was hoping for some feedback more specific to my family. We are looking at the areas around Franklin. I was looking into Murfreesboro and it seems a lot more affordable for us but is the crime that bad? The statistics were alarming.
I am going to be looking for a teaching job. I am NYS certified. My husband is a truck driver but can do a lot of work in construction as well.
We want a rural feel to our little neighborhood and a house with property. We plan on renting in a complex for a year or two before buying. We also need to be in a great school district (our kids are ages 2 and 6) and near decent hospitals etc.
I am looking at College Grove, Spring Hills, Murfreesboro, and Brentwood. Open to other areas as well. My husband knows people in Sevierville but I don't think it is the right fit for us.

Any input is so greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Fairview? Sounds like a perfect fit.

What would be your eventual budget for the house and how much acreage? I assume you'd like to rent near to where you would eventually buy?

Future budget will probably be around $225K and we'd like at least 2 acres. And yes, ideally I would love to rent in the same area as we wind up buying as to not uproot the kids more than necessary
