I guess the next incarnation of Hillwood High won't be in the former mall building after all.

But anytime a ghost mall can make some sort of comeback, that is great news. Maybe more businesses will follow that are appropriate for a middle class part of town. As I recall, the mall flopped right off the bat after it opened because the stores were more "Mall at Green Hills" oriented in a solid middle class area. It was not a good match.

That chain is on an aggressive expansion endeavor! I'm excited to check them out.

Love Sprouts! This is a good thing. Too bad it's so far away from downtown.

Is Sprouts kind of like the Turnip Truck?

A way better, larger and not as expensive TT. Think of a better/cheaper Whole Foods. More on the line of Fresh Market.

This is great news! I won't have to drive to Franklin or congested Green Hills for Whole Foods. I would've liked the mall to reopen as a mall again being that it's right at the exit entering into Nashville.

From the natives, I hear the developers expected people to drive over from Belle Meade into Bellevue. Once the specialty stores closed, it was doomed.

A second point is the mall had a very poor food court. Pizza, a small Chic Fill A, nothing else.

About the only busy place was the center court play pit.

It appears the next Hillwood High & Bellevue High may appear to replace the old library & Red Caboose Park once the community center & fire ambulance house get moved elsewhere. Not sure if the city can get $$$ for the current site?

Having 320+ apartments & the Sprouts is a good move. Someone needs to snap up the closing Harris Teeter store at Westgate.
