Brinks, ADT or Monitronics. No dealers; buy from corporate offices.

Absolutely no small "trunk slammer" operations. Quality of install for alarms is essential. The biggest complaint is no "line seizure" or miss-programmed panels which don't effectively communicate with the provider’s central station. Central Station communication is the difference between the police/fire fighters showing up during a break in or fire.

I've had national certified alarms (NCA). They're only $10/month, and when we had a false alarm, the person who called from NCA was articulate. I give them a thumbs up.

Definitely! We are on our second home/system with them and they are wonderful! Jimmy Stein and Shooter Stein, the father/son owners of the company are straight forward, no-nonsense guys. You can't go wrong with them. They won't try to upsell you when they come out for a consultation. Highest recommendation!

I just called NCA, but I could not get out of their voice mail system.

I am always very hesistant to do business with a company that cannot provide a live person to speak with when I call.

Hmmm, I've called NCA about 5 times since I posted this message and have always had a VERY HELPFUL person answer all kinds of questions for me! I called the number under Contact Us-Middle TN on the website: 615-777-7622 - just call and ask for sales-a live person just answered a few seconds ago for me.

I plan on having them do my monitoring, they've been great for me.

I wud refer NCA too. have used them for the past 2 years and they have been absolutely prompt and efficient everytime our alarm went off by us walking into forgetting to turn it off.

We used Advanced Alarm, also $10 a month, great service. They didn't laugh too hard at us when we forgot our security code and had to have the cops come to our house.

Someone from NCA did call me back the following day. He apologized for the delay. They quoted around $600 to install the system (no phone lines in house so it must be cellular). He said they would get back to me on the installation time, but then never called me back.
I had ADT install the sytem last Monday.
