Rather than dealing with the underlying issues... too many guns and too many mentally ill without treatment the response will be the same as post Sandy Hook.

Every theater will probably start having armed off duty officers working, just like our schools now all have armed officers roaming the halls.

I don't want to live in a military state. I don't find it reassuring to walk into an airport and armed officers everywhere.

If that is the case then you should not try. In fact if you believe that you should spend some time at the range improving your marksmanship. "Gun control" is hitting what your aiming at.

I am glad when I see armed guards in public places. It gives everyone some piece of mind knowing that a trained professional is there to stop the nutters from going postal or pulling off an armed robbery.

Boy...really wish I hadn't started this thread. Meant it as a local discussion about the shooting rather than a global discussion better suited for the political forum.

Here's a thought for the day....

A US dentist kills a lion in Africa, and he's labeled as a horrible man.
A man goes into a movie theatre and shoots a bunch of people, and it's 'the gun's fault'...

Funny how that works...

All he apparently was able to get (as a confirmed loony) was a fake gun.

And none of the innocent moviegoers were shot with a real one.

Maybe gun control does work when carried out correctly. Not that the nra would admit it. It would hurt their $$$

Makes a good bumper sticker for people who like sarah palin and joe the unlicensed plumber...and actually take them seriously.

I had a political thought typed out and and almost posted it in here but for this reason I erased it and didn't.
