I'm just trying to get some info on the area. It looks like I might be headed to Fort Campbell next. That will be my last move in the military. I'm at the end of my rope.

So, is Clarksville for me and my family?
  1. Is the school system good?
  2. We like to do things outdoors. Camping, Hiking, fishing, ATV
  3. How is the music scene? We have guitars and drums. I play Metal stuff.
  4. Jobs,,, how is the job market?
  5. Housing. how is the housing market?
  6. How much is the electric, water, gas, etc
  7. We'd love to not have any neighbors but also not be far away from anything. Just a little quiet spot. My wife loves to get out and shop. lol

Was there for two years, sold and came back north in September of 15.

1. No kids in school, so can not answer
2. Close to KY Lake and Barkely, Bass Fishing and fun, Paris
3. Nashville, Music!!
4. JOBS, excellent market. Took my son one day
5.Vast variety of Housing, More new builts that are Military friendly subdivisions. Every price range
6.Utilities, I am from the North, I found electric and Cable pricey but that was just me. Water, also seemed high but I am comparing that to the Great Lakes area.
7.Exit 11 takes you out to area of Sango which become more spars yet close to everything. We were a new sub Old Sango, I am guessing it was 90% Military with several retired Military.

I found it to be to big of area for me. My great neighbor who was retired Military said it was small town from all the places she had been, hence the reason they settled there and close to Nashville.

Check out Facebook for local and military affiliated pages to the base. You will probably get a lot more feedback there than here. My husband just retired (Air Force) and we settled south of Nashville. Congrats on being so close to the end!
