If you are considering private school for your child...you should definitely be exploring all housing options (neighborhoods) while your looking for a house. Nothing worse than focusing all of your attention on one area and committing to it only to find something you like better down the road when it's too late. My sister and her husband did this very thing....and ended up moving after 5 years.

Hillwood used to be a pretty good public school back in the day. It just needs a fresh new start and that's what will be happening with the move out there closer to where the kids actually live.

The west side of I-24 in the LaVergne Smyrna area has an almost new high school...

It will be years until we have a child in highschool. im not sure I can predict the future that far ahead yet. haha. Child is still a baby.

Then you've got several years to worry about schools. I love the Highway 100 side of Bellevue. Harpeth Valley elementary is a good, if crowded, school with high parent involvement.

You wouldn't even need to get on an interstate to commute to Midtown.
