We are moving to Brentwood in the next month. I am looking for reliable and reasonably affordable option for TV, internet, and landline phone (with or without bundle packages). We are moving from the midwest and have been relatively happy with ATT-Uverse. How does their service stack up in the Nashville area? 6 years ago we lived in Washington D.C. and had no other choice than Comcast. I would rather be without than use them, to put it mildly.

Thanks in advance!

U-verse is great, I've had them for several years. (after dropping Comcast.)

what else is there besides comcast and u-verse? I've had comcast the past couple of years without many issues and would be more than willing to move over the U-verse if they could provide a package deal as good as comcast.

Years back when we had Comcast, the services were cheap during the promotional period. Once they expired, rates became astronomical and they were unwilling to honor current promotional rates. Hopefully it has changed. Thanks for the input, I will check it out.

Also a satisfied Comcast customer. We've been with them since they were Intermedia around here, some 25 years ago.

When the rates get high, we threaten to leave and they renegotiate our bill. We have the X-1 platform now, and it is awesome.

Two of our neighbors who switched to Uverse have come back to Comcast mainly because the Uverse internet can't keep up.

Rates DO keep going up and I keep calling and they bring it down and then I call again. I don't think that's only Comcast that does that. I, too, have heard of people switching back to Comcast from ATT. When I call Comcast for a service issue, I either get a recording saying it's a system or area wide outage with an estimate as to when service will be restored OR in a few minutes, I get to talk to a real person. I was on the phone with AT&T to cancel my landline for over 35 minutes once and that was it for me with AT&T.

My internet (after buying an Apple router) has never given me ANY problems. Which to me is more important than the TV but honestly, I can't fault it.

I guess you could do with a dish? A friend has it but also said that after the initial WELCOME period the price has gone up almost to the amount he would have paid with Comcast. But he gets some rebate when he signs up friends, which he does!

Prices do go up, though I'm sure that's the case with any provider, but I am getting more data, etc each time I renew or choose another promotional offer. Granted my price every 6 months to a year only goes up $5 to $10 max... at least so far. I looked at switching over to U-verse a couple of months back and yes, I could pay less $$ than what I do now but it would be marginally less for a whole lot less value which didn't seem worth it to me.

We can only guess what difference Google Fiber may make. Comcast or ATT is the main choice for cable.
