I'm going to be moving to Nashville for work soon and am looking for advice for the best areas for me. I'm looking for more urban options (no suburbia, please) and since I'm an empty-nester, schools aren't an issue. I'm fine with transitional neighborhoods as long as they're safe. Looking for good walkability to bars, restaurants, groceries, coffeehouses, etc. Want lots of action but don't need to be right downtown. I'll be traveling a lot so proximity to airport is important but office is in Cool Springs/Franklin. I'll be seeking a rental with no maintenance needed. Any ideas?

I would look in the 12 South neighborhood, and Berry Hill.
You'd be close enough to Downtown, the airport, and an easy drive to Cool Springs.

Nashville doesn't have too many true urban neighborhoods where you can walk not only to bars and restaurants but also everyday amenities like grocery shops and drug stores.
