I am looking to get a job in Nashville, but looking to rent an apartment just outside the city? Any recommendations for a safe, clean and affordable area for a single white female? I can afford up to 800 per month. I've heard of Goodlettsville and Hendersonville, but I would like to know if there are areas I should stay away from? thank you

I don't keep up with apartment rents, but you might also put Bellevue on your list. There's quite a few apartment complexes there and it's a relatively safe area (I've lived there for over twenty years). I'm not sure, but I think you could find an apartment in Bellevue for $800.

I would second Bellevue as a good balance between affordability, accessibility to the city, and lower crime...I'm a single white male and all the things I like to do are on the West side of town so I bought a house out here...

Allycat, You are right. The teller at my bank in Brentwood lives in Bellevue and pays $800 a month for a one bedroom apt.

When are you moving? We're moving out of our apartment in Bellevue at the end of April. It is a two bedroom/two bathroom and we pay $750. Very quiet complex, clean, nice management and maintenance. Send me a message if you'd like the name/address.

I don't live in Nashville anymore, but I completely agree with Bellevue as a place to live. Very convenient to downtown and everything else. Apartments were reasonably priced. I would love to pay the same thing in the Raleigh, NC area and get the same ammenities (gated community, carports, etc)
