When you have a study which shows Indianapolis to be a more desirable place to travel than NYC and Paris for people around the world, one can only assume there will be stabs at humor.

I agree with this article, Nashville is an amazing city (which is why 100 people move here daily), and i can see it being a global destination.

But this article's credibiltiy is ruined by including Indy. I can get Cincinnati, but Indianapolis???

I agree. I am not seeing how Indianapolis is a global destination.

They've ranked these cities for decades now, and based on alphabetical order, Indianapolis always finishes ahead of NYC, Paris, London, Rome, Rio, Tokyo, and Madrid.

This isn't for you & me. This is for all the outsiders to come visit. Take in a show & tour the Ryman. Go to the Hall of Fame. Go see Johnny Cash, George Jones Museum. Go to the Opry and keep Gaylord/Ryman happy. Shop at Green Hills, Opry Mills. Find a new place to dine. Take the trolley tour of the Parthenon & other attractions. anything to fill hotel rooms, spend all their money, then go home.

Gas may be a little higher than a year ago. Nashville may be a nice place to come visit from anywhere on a tank of gas or 2. Probably should send some over to Gatlinburg as that town recovers from wild fires.

Nashville attractions do not do anything for me. There are numerous malls with in a short drive of 5 hrs that are just as good as Green Hills or Opry Mills (if you been to one mall you've seen them all). Not impressed with Nashville's restaurants but I probably haven't been to the right ones.

Funny thing is I always have a fun time and look forward to my road trips to Indy. I think it is more so the type of attractions and Downtown Indy has more shopping and a better variety of night life not centered around country.
