DirecTV is far better than Comcast. It's cheaper and the service is better. Dish Network is alright (I know you didn't mention this, but I figured I'd throw it in anyway).

DirecTV offers an Internet service, by the way.

I'd still go with Comcast for the phone service. That's simply because
AT&T : providing good customer service :: Nashville : providing snow forecasts.

Yeah...DirectTV doesn't offer ON DEMAND services but be mindful that you can always get a DVR receiver and record programs and watch them at your leisure. There are pros and cons to each service but I totally agree that satellite is the better choice-- but you can't go wrong with the Comcast High Speed Internet

Just a F.Y.I. for any TiVO fans - The new TiVO HD boxes will NOT work with Satellite, ONLY CABLE !! And DirecTV does not offer any TiVO service. Again, just an F.Y.I. for anyone interested in HDTV and TiVO.
