9,000 showed up in the rain on Saturday. I hear it was very fun. So much interest that they've moved the first official game to Nissan Stadium.

Could've been funding issues or something. Tampa also was probably hurt by Miami officially getting one now.

Former English Premier League executive Ian Ayre has been named the first CEO of Nashville's MLS team, MLS Nashville announced at a press conference Monday morning.

"I can't tell you how excited I am about getting started on this project," Ayre said Monday. "It's such a great honor for me and my family to be named CEO of the new Nashville MLS team. I really cannot wait to get started."

Ayre's arrival continues the momentum of soccer in Nashville. He brings years of experience as the former CEO of English Premier League club Liverpool, and was voted Premier League Chief Executive of the Year in 2017.
