We will be moving to Franklin for a job this summer (from Southern California). We will be renting until we find a home, and are wondering about recommendations for older, established neighborhoods.

We loved Charlton Green when we visited, and are curious if there are other, similar subdivisions. We loved the lot sizes (.3-.5 acres), older style homes, walk-ability to downtown, abundance of grown tress, and general family-friendly feel. I came across Forest Crossing while looking at homes, but would love anyone's input as to additional areas we may want to consider.

We have two small children, so schools are a consideration as well.

Charlton Green is a small neighborhood off Hwy 96.

OP, what is your budget? I would check out Eagles Glen.

Here are a few that I can think of off hand, most aren't walkable to downtown Franklin but they are nearby:

Founders Pointe
Liberty Hills
Hunters Chase
Oakwood & Oakleaf
Greenvalley
Breckenridge
Cedarmont Farms
Sturbridge (although tends to be pricey)

www.wcs.edu will show you the schools in Williamson County
