We are relocating to Nashville area in December. I've been researching online and we will definitely be making some trips down, but am looking for suburb recommendations from people who know! Three areas that seem to stand out for us so far are: Franklin, Mt. Juliet and Hendersonville. Thoughts...?

* Commute isn't much of an issue, as my husband only goes into the office about once a week
* Kids are 12, 15 and 17. Looking for great schools (middle and high)
* We like to 'do' things as a family (parks, trails, museums, festivals)
* Home price around $250-300k

Thanks!

at that price point Franklin is out. I'd look in Sumner or Wilson county.

^I strongly second that. In fact, depending on what they want, they might even have to go to the west side of Gallatin or Lebanon.

The OP wants great schools which would rule out Lebanon.

If the OP can find something zoned for MJHS for less than $300k, that would be my first choice. Otherwise, I'll recommend Hendersonville and Gallatin.

I think Murfreesboro would also fit what they are looking for. Schools are good, their price range fits and there's enough going on to keep most people happy.

My family and I moved to Hendersonville from Northern CA in June and really like it. If you move to the west side of Gallatin or Hendersonville I think you would be very happy. Just my 2 cents, which isn't worth too much since I just moved here!

Thanks everyone- for your input. I am heading down next week to get a feel for things. Hopefully, we'll be able to make a more informed decision after that!
