Hello,

My son lives in Nashville off of Old Hickory Blvd, basically next to Brentwood. He has an old college friend moving down to work at a correctional facility. He can't afford much so he is looking into Antioch. I've encouraged my son to tell him that isn't the best area(as he knows having lived in Nashville for awhile), but can't seem to convince his friend, due to the cheapness.

My question is this: Are there any areas of Antioch that are actually better that we can steer him to? Not sure of his budget other than cheaper than what my son's is. Just hate to see him in a bad area for living purposes. Thanks!

Which correctional facility will he be working? He'll want to get as close to work as he can.

I am not sure, he is in his final weeks of training but I believe his first choice is one of those in Antioch. That's why we were wondering about the areas. When my son first moved down, people told him to stay on the west side of 24 when looking if he was going to live there. As I'm sure this area is like Chicago in IL where we are from, there are good areas and bad areas. Just want him to have a good place to live that isn't a hole in the wall.

I grew up in the Chicagoland area.

His best bet is to live close to where he will be working, until he knows his way around.
