From experience with Section 8 programs as a property owner, any housing that has qualified for the program can accept your housing voucher in full or partial payment for rent. If you locate a property, then you can ask that the property be approved if the owner is willing to make any required repairs or improvements. You can also ask the department if they have a list of already approved properties or willing property owners or apartment complexes.
