I am an amateur/hobbyist photographer and my wife and I will be visiting the Nashville area for a brief while. We will be all over visiting the Nashville and surrounding areas. I wanted to find some park or water locations that I might take some summer swimwear photos but don't want to be in a super public place with a bunch of gawkers yet I want a safe place.

Does anyone know of any small parks or locations that would be appropriate where we could step back and photograph without a huge audience? Anything in the Antioch, Hendersonville, Cumberland River areas does not matter where just as long as we have a little privacy. The pics will all be very modest just don't want to put on a show.

Also, anywhere that had old buildings that was safe for some black and white shots would be cool too.

Thanks.

Now that school is open again, you could easily find some places during the week where there aren't too many people around, especially if you go early. You might try Priest Lake (not far from the Antioch area), or Old Hickory Lake (Hendersonville), although the water is not as clear in Old Hickory as it is in Priest. You might even use Riverfront Park in downtown Nashville if you go early. That would also give you a chance to find some old buildings nearby.

I agree with alleycat. Try Percy Priest Lake At this time of the year during the week and before noon not many people are swimming.
