I wonder if Clarksville will eventually pass Chattanooga in population??

For someone who likes to bike, it's good to know they are taking a proactive focus on greenway development. And then there is the nice Bicentennial greenway down in Ashland City. I wonder if these two greenways will eventually link up? That would be awesome! I haven't seen much mountain biking in the area though...

Not that much good mountain biking here. Chattanooga is much better for that.

Keep your eye on any developments with WeGo West. Dreams are to rebuild Nashville & Western railway for future WeGo commuter rail + possible Nashville Western freight. Line was abandoned in 1950's. Would take $100M to do it. May be possible for the railway to share some of the greenway space. What may help is the same RJ Corman operates the Nashville & Eastern, Nashville & Western, & the old L&N line from Clarksville into Ky.

That sounds like a great idea, but I'm guessing the backlash is still pretty heavy there. Seems like a heavily car-oriented culture.

Over Memorial Day Weekend, I took a trip to Land Between the Lakes and visited Clarksville to get a better feel for the city/area. The only parts of Clarksville I was familiar with were along the Interestate. Wow, Clarksville is bigger than I would have thought! It is quite the jog from one end to the other. And traffic!!! Very busy! I also ventured just outside of the City Limits. Pretty country, especially south. I really didn't see any run down areas, but then again, there was no way to see every part of the city. I'm sure, like everywhere else, there are areas to avoid. It is possible I will be moving to the area and would welcome any feedback from those who know the area and can provide insight on what areas/locations to steer clear of. I did see a Sams but not a Costco. Any rumors of one coming? I figure the way Clarksville is growing, one will come sooner than later, along with other businesses.

I get regular news updates from Clarksville Now. Almost on a daily basis, there are reports of crime, including killings. In reading a lot of the comments that residents post, it seems like so many are uphappy with Clarksville and that the crime is getting bad. Is this something to be concerned with? Is crime getting bad in this growing city? I know every place has crime, but some places are certainly worse than others (e.g. Chicago over Nashville or even St. Louis where I live currently), but as someone who has been looking intently on the Clarksville area, I am somewhat concerned with the rising crime. Any thoughts would be appreciated....

I was in Clarksville several times every week in 2019 the drivers are aggressive and people there short tempered when dealing with them. The city was not a place I wanted to move to at all.
