Hope everyone is having a GREAT week!! As for me, I am getting SO BORED and CRANKY!!! Can't seem to find a job??????
Looks like June 21st at Moe's Southwestern. A time needs to be chosen - we are kid free, so no worries on time for us. Doesn't look like I'll be working any time soon anyway (sigh), so I won't have work interfering or anything....

Hi Kim-

I have been here since the last weekend of April. I have applied online through career builder and some others. I have been to two recruiting companies, have gone through all there testing and interviews. I was in the banking field for 12 years in MI but kind of want to do something different. I am qualified for alot of jobs due to my background. I have GREAT customer service skills!! Some people are telling me to be patient because it does take awhile to find a job that you want. I have turned down some jobs so I guess I have found some. I have to keep a positive attitude because it's making me feel like I am not qualified for anything.

Well since you have turned down some, then yes, you have found a job, just not what you want yet! You will though. The economy here is actually pretty good compared to some states. I know Florida is coming apart at the seams!
Good Luck in your search! I hope you find what you want soon!

This economy this is a bummer. To help me get through not having a job I just blame it on the economy. May not be true but helps me stay positive and not thinking its my fault. It is hard though, its almost been 4 months with no job for me. But good news is I have an interview Friday. I always get so nervous with interviews lol. My advice to Teacher and SRRB just hang in there, something will come along, hopefully a lot sooner then it is taking me.

I've been applying to retail places since I moved here, actually before moving here. I was supposed to have an 'in' at one store, but I've pretty much lost hope there and will be contacting more agencies next week for at least temp work.

Boyfriend is not concerned with me working or not, makes no difference to him, but in order for me to qualify for in state tuition at MTSU this fall, I need to have full time work.

I did enjoy laying in the sun today though

You could always substitute teach. The Holland Group handles it for Rutherford County Schools. It wouldn't be a bad intro gig if you want to teach. IIRC, it pays $65/day, which at most schools would be a 7.5 hour day.

I figured Holland was moot since school is just about out, but then again, August will be here before we know it!

I started to tell my boyfriend last night that I should apply to some retail places. I want to go back to school and would like to find something flexible. Let me know how it goes for you...

GOOD LUCK!!!
