I will moving to the area next week and need to find a good ortho. Dr. I would prefer one with Sports Injuries specialization. Also need to know which ones to avoid! My teenage son has a muscle/ligament injury we are currently treating and I need a great dr. there to continue treatment. Thanks for any info.

I have been a patient of Baptist Sports Medicine on three different occasions involving sports related injuries. All three occasions involved surgery and rehab and I was pleased with the services provided and performed.

I gave you incorrect information in my previous post. I have used Southern Sports Medicine at Baptist Hospital which is a different group than Baptist Sports Medicine, although both operated under the same Baptist umbrella. My first two surgeries were done by Burton Elrod, M.D. and the last one by David Moore, M.D. I don't believe Burton Elrod is with the group anymore.
