So now that you know what this thread is about it shouldn't be too hard to answer. I've looked the threads over and did some driving around this past weekend. Coming from Houston a little commute (20-30 min isn't bad to me) but I am having to readjust my budget, even apartment rent is pretty high. I'm looking for good areas to be in for $100k or less - is that possible (single male, house needs: 2/1 w/garage)? If so where do you suggest? Funny how this sounds like a singles ad.

Thanks in advance for the assistance.

You should look in the area around the Percy Priest Lake and around Murfreesboro Road near the lake. It is area 8 in Nashville. Some will have garages. Others won't. Many of these homes will probably need some fixing up or cosmetic updates. If you can handle that, then you might find some good deals there at $100k or less.

If you're open to a townhome, there are several in the Antioch/Lavergne area for under $100k...and they are brand new.
