If your into loud ,fast cars, drunk, homeless looking people, litter,a mix of home conditions you will love inglewood. Keep your car locked. Its not the kind of neighborhood I would let children go outside alone in. if you want a a safe historical district ,try Old Hickory Village. Its just a 20-25 min drive to town, is in Davidson County. You can walk to Old Hickory Lake, shop in Mt Juliet, Old Hickory, Hermitage, Madison, Rivergate, Goodlettsville, It has its own walking trail park, sidewalks and the feel of a small community. Dupont Elementry and middle school in walking distance . Slow moving traffic , wonderful family place to be, child and animal friendly. Very much within your price range! Have a look!

That is SOOO far not correct. Inglewood is great. I'm assuming you haven't came back over here since the early 90's. Please get a clue before you post.

BTW, Old Hickory Village is right next to Antioch, so you can do a search for that on this site and decide for yourself which area is on the upswing and which is not. Oh and all those stores in Mt. Juliet, are ALL chain resteraunts and retail chains...if your trying to escape the cookie cutter suburbs, this may not be your best option. No offense to anyone that lives over there cause for a lot of people they love that, but it sounds like this NOT what the submitter is looking for. I just rode my bike last night to a block party last night in Lockeland Springs that featured three bands and bbq. It was sponsored by an employee of the Science Adventure Center that lives there. They were raising funds for the Adventure Science Museum. BTW, plenty of kids were in attendence.

Old Hickory Village isn't next to Antioch. It's across the river from Hendersonville, north of Lakewood and Hermitage, south of Madison and Goodlettsville.

Historic Old Hickory Village
