You might be thinking about the new convention center, maybe? They'd originally planned for a hotel to be a part of the space, but I think the cost was too prohibitive and they nixed that part of the deal. There was so much back and forth with it, it was hard to keep up.

I didn't see any this morning coming into town from Hendersonville, but I'm surprised. The wind was pretty bad up in my neck of the woods.

Default Need help w/ areas of nashville

Went to the "antioch" threads but with just "stay away" with no specific information posts, it wasn't very helpful.

My husband and I were reluctantly shown a house in the area of antioch near the lake. (Mt. View and Huntinboro trail area). Seemed to be street after street of nice homes, well kept yards, kids bikes in the yards, kids playing in the streets, people with big SUVs and boats... is it possible that there are nice areas of Antioch?

We're new to the area and could really use the advice. B/c we're new to the area please don't just refer to "my area" TELL me what your area is. I've read so many comments here that say "Antioch has some nice areas, but not in the area I lived". And that's it....great..WHAT area was that? LOL...

thanks again!

Antioch does have some nice areas. I'm not a big fan of where I live on Bell Rd. (south of I-24), and I'm not familiar with up near Percy Priest, but every now and then I'll drive to or from work down Blue Hole Rd. to Pettus Rd. From this area over to Old Hickory Blvd (exit 62 on I-24) is all pretty nice, middle class. There are some houses that I've definitely lusted over in this area, and a friend of mine from work lives in a beautiful subdivision right off Old Hickory. The main road of the subdivision is October Woods Drive. I looked over there for rentals, and there were a couple for sale. 2000+sq ft would be my guess. Rent prices were $1500-2500 a month.

I think those are n the area called Cane Ridge, that has an antioch Zip. As for the area by the lake, its a better area of Antioch, BUT I know someone that lives there and she wants out.

Default May hve bd credit/but not with rent! Askn 4 a 2nd chance

I am in desperate need of someone that will take a chance on someone with bad credit (all my fault, but correcting it), but always pay my rent. I have lived in a home for some 10 years now, only because of my credit history. It has now begun to effect my health due to mold, landlord will not repair. I keep a very clean home, have a child entering college. I can pay rent up to $725.00 a month, and have a co signer.

Just a shout out to all on the board from Nashville, etc. - I think this is the friendlier of the sites in answering and responding to people's concerns/questions/comments. I can't believe the tenor/attitude of some of the other towns around the U.S. Besides, I just love visiting Nashville - just had to say that!!!
