I love the eagles too but their last CD was a real snooze.

I want to go to the Opry! We don't follow "new" country music that much but I think we'd still enjoy it.

Terri Clark = eye candy for hubby Joe Nichols = eye candy for me!

Tunky, my husband likes "new" country as well as "classic" country. Besides also there the night we went were Riders in the Sky, Connie Smith and Jimmy C. Newman. If you check the schedules, I think there is usually a mix of new & old. Definitely give it a try one night.

What does everyone think of the new $700B bailout? Personally, I think it's an expensive patch that may hold for a few years. The issues that caused this mess will still be here so eventually we'll be right back to where we are today...Just $700+ Billion poorer.

I agree with you. It is a total waste of money and will make a recovery from this mess take that much longer. Let the chips fall where they may. Investigate some of these CEO's who made millions and received bonus's for failing business's. It's outrageous really. Inflation is going to get much worse now. You cannot just keep printing money at will.

^ Agree !!!

Those Goldman Sachs executives are so lucky. They got bailed out by Warren Buffet, who is just in the business of giving away his money before he exits. I hope WB would visit our office here and gingerly hands out $1M per person who approaches him and tells him "hey, you're Warren, the best investor of our time!". Bill Gates did that, I surmise.

Anyways, Lehman Brothers just filed Chapter 11.

Then they should be first on the list when the fed starts buying up the mistakes these companies made...For many time more than hey will ever be worth, I might add.

Seeing as how the fed is offering basically a free ride for these big companies, I think we'll see a lot of chapter 11's in the near future. That's probably the first step in getting some of that bailout money.

I just wish Terri Clark would get rid of that lousy hat because she is gorgeous! That hat hides much of her face!

Terri Clark did remove her hat before she walked off the stage, and I do agree how pretty she is without it.
