I am just curious about your favorite shop, store or restaurant that is locally owned in the greater Nashville area? Mom and Pop places are especially welcome! Please tell us about them! No self advertising please. I can't wait to hear about Nashville's treasures!

I love the Thompsons Station Restaurant. That place is DELICIOUS! The country family atmosphere combined with excellent food wins raves from me!

The Produce Place on Murphy Road; it's a good place to find a better selection of fruits, vegetables and cheeses than is usually available in a supermarket.

Swett's Restaurant for a traditional southern "meat and two".

Monell's, Rotier's, the Oak Room at the Hermitage Hotel, Midtown Cafe, Elder's Bookstore, Cafe Nonna, Valentino's . . .

I love "Copper Kettle" off of Granny White in Nashville. Henpeck Market in Franklin, TN. In Murfreesboro area, Millers Grocery is my favorite. I also enjoy the Bell Buckle Cafe . Bell Buckle is also a great town to walk around. Lots of cute little shops.

Too new here to really know much but I wanted to say thanks for this thread. Chain restaurants are such a bore...it will be fun to learn of more unique places!

In Franklin though, we have enjoyed Monell's and Dotson's...just good food. Looking for a good butcher shop in the area...if anyone knows of one....

Lime
Boscos (although a small regional chain)
South Street
Mojo at Broadway Brewhouse
Pancake Pantry
Prince's chicken (have yet to go, but it's at the top of my list from what I've heard)
