My husband and I are moving to Tn next Spring and we are really looking into Murfreesboro. The main reason we are looking there is because of the ratings of Blackman H.S. However, now that we are looking into the housing in the area, some of the houses that we like are in the Riverdale and Siegel school districts. Is one really better than the other for students as well as for teachers? How is the pay for teachers there, if anyone knows? Thanks for helping me out!!

I would recommend any of the schools in Murfreesboro. Blackman and Siegel are great schools, but so are the others. They just happen to be the most popular schools. You need to note that there are Murfreesboro city schools and Rutherford County schools. They run on different callendars. Some are year round and some are the traditional callendar. Sorry, but I don't have any pay info.

I think there is a pay scale on the RCS website. Try here:

I have kids in the Stewarts Creek school zone and I love it!
