There are tons of singles in Nashville, and the city is 26.8% black according to City-Data. If you can't find other singles or blacks (or single blacks) here, you probably aren't looking hard.

OK, I am black and stunned by this post. Nashville is probably 30% black as of Jan 2009. By the end of 2010, Nashville will most likely be home to about 200,000 blacks.(counting people who are half)

- 3 HISTORICALLY BLACK UNIVERSITIES- INCLUDING THE 1ST AND LARGEST BLACK INSTITUTION IN THE USA

-RANKED #5 ON THE TOP 10 CITIES FOR BLACK IN 07 BY BLACKENTERPRISE.COM- WAS ALSO ON THE PREVIOUS LIST

ALL SIDES OF NASHVILLE HAVE BLACK COMMUNITIES

1. North Nashville- 90% black
2. East Nashville- 50% black
3. South Nashville- 30% black
4. West Nashville- 27% black

estimated and probably accurate

Truth, me personally, I find a great joy in leaving Nashville fast as I can to get back to my place in the sticks. I only drive to Nashville when ' I have to ' and I'm most always in a very uptight state of mind until I see the city in my rear view mirror. Thats just my honest oppinion.

I understand you can meet interesting people at catch up classes at local high schools. Grammar, punctuation and spelling can be bonding experiences.

Seriously, just look around, you'll find friends...they'll see that you find things to do.

This is an excellent suggestion. I'm sure Obama will even pay for it -- using my money, of course.
