That's by city.

People live in neighborhoods, not cities as a whole.

My point is that such statistics can skew the reality of living in those areas.

I'm sure you've spent a decent amount of time in Brentwood and Hendersonville. Name one part of town in which you feel unsafe in those cities.

Anyone else is welcome to chime in as well. I'm not expecting much in the way of responses.

I'll post a list for Antioch and Madison if C-D will allow a post that long.

People's impressions are subjective.

I'm asking for hard data.

Go ahead. I feel completely safe in both areas. Where I do not feel safe is certain parts of East Nashville, most of North Nashville, and The Eastern Most part of West Nashville. Hadley Park, Just West of Meharry.
What parts of Antioch make you feel unsafe?

I am sure you could find some hard numbers if you looked hard enough. I don't feel it's necessary. If a great number of people who live in Nashville find a certain part of town to be unsafe or undesirable, there is usually a good reason.

Well go ahead! What areas of Antioch do you feel unsafe in? Do you feel safer there or somewhere like North Nashville or East Nashville.

Opened up fine in mine.

Here's something for ya on Main!

That's the 5th & Main Condominums. Smack dab in the middle of Main Street. Many of the streets off Main are really, REALLY nice! With large homes and large yards and a TON of history behind them. But most suburbanites are afraid to get off the interstate and actually experience the city I suppose. Or maybe afraid to admit that things, good things, are finally starting to happen IN THE CITY instead of out in the 'burbs.

- The entire Hickory Hollow area. The last time I was through there, I saw three stop signs that had been tagged by SUR-13.

- Rural Hill Road from the mall to Murfreesboro Pike, especially the area around Autumnwood Apartments, which is infested with crime, drugs, gangs, and illegals.

- All of Richards Road. AWFUL.

- Bell Road all the way from Cane Ridge Road until it crosses over into the 37217 zip code. (After that point, it is still unsafe through Nashboro Village but is not technically Antioch.)

Essentially, the entire section of Antioch enclosed by Mt. View Road to the south, Haywood Lane/Una-Antioch Pike to the north, I-24 to the west, and Murfreesboro Pike to the east is VERY undesirable.

What parts of Antioch make you feel unsafe?

So now it's "Certain" parts of E. Nashville and just not East Nashville as a whole?

Look, i'm not trying to change your opinion cause that isn't going to happen. I'm just trying to open your eyes to some exciting things taking place in the inner city of Nashville. It's not all Channel 4 and 5 make it out to be. To be honest, it's the opposite in most cases.
