I'm giving you a link with houses ending at $125,000 because nothing sells full price. A realtor will tell you how much give there is.
Murfreesboro is great. My son just moved there from NJ. There are many safe areas in Murfreesboro. I don't know a realtor there because I live in Nashville, and my son rents there.

I am going to DM you with a realtor. I also think you might want to try the evergreen farms neighborhood. I think you might find homes in your price range there. $120 is a bit on the low side though.

There is a possibility of finding something in Evergreen Farms or a similar subdivision in or around your price range, given the low sale prices in today's economy. The house would probably be on the small side. I have sent you an DM with a realtor recommendation. Best of luck to you.

Here are the directions for Evergreen Farms. The area itself is very nice and safe. Not sure if you will get the sq. ft. you want at that price. 1300 maybe.

2207 St. Andrews Drive
Murfreesboro, TN 37128
I-24 to Exit 78A. Hwy 96 W (Old Fort Pkwy), West on Highway 96, left at traffic light onto Cason Lane. Follow Cason Lane and turn RIGHT on Cason Trail. Turn LEFT on St. Andrews Drive until reaching Model Home on left, on corner of St. Andrews and Cotswold.

This is a link for a soccer club in the boro.
MSC - Murfreesboro Soccer Club

I'm not sure what the schools offer as I don't have a child in school.

Hope this helps!

Just a quick reply. We do have snow her and cold temperatures as well. Tennessee is not warm year round. I am originally fron NJ. The snow is a lot less than up North, but it does still get cold here. I just wanted to make you aware of this because prior to moving to TN, I myself would have thought it was warmer here in the winter than it is.

Ya I know you get snow some times, I lived in Oklahoma city for about 10 years, i am guessing your weather is similar to there maybe just a little colder. i don't mind snow once in a while but i am sick of it all the time we just got a couple more inches last night and it is 15 right now with an high of 24. your 10 day forcast has 7 days in the 60s we have 5 days in the 40s most days your low temp is higher than our high temp.

Nshville has nicer weather than Oklahoma City, and usually the cold does not stay around long. This year was an exception.
Good Luck!
