I live in Bellevue, but I'm going to a show at the Ryman this coming Sunday & would like to get a hotel room close by. I've stayed at the Renaissance thanks to my company Christmas party (ie, free), & really don't want to spend so much for 1 night. I can look at a map & hotels online all day, but really don't know the lay of the land when it comes to getting around downtown. You'd think after 9 years in Nashville I'd know where I was going most of the time.
Any suggestions? I'm willing to spend up to $150. Within a block or 2 of the Ryman & not out of the way would be great.
Thanks!

Possibly the Holiday Inn Express. I think the room rates are less than $150, but I believe they charge for parking.

The trouble is most of the hotels right in that area within a couple of blocks of the Ryman are a little pricey for what they are. If you were willing to be a little further away from the Ryman then you can find some cheaper places downtown or across the river.

I take it you've never been to the Ryman before? I think you'll really enjoy it . . . as long as you don't have seats behind one of those columns on the lower level.

Right now all the hotels have hiked up their pricing for Vandy, Belmont, and TSU graduation. You may have a hard time getting a hotel room downtown for that price. I mean, the Hampton Inn on Elliston is charging more than 200 a night right now.

Check the Courtyard, it is a nice hotel with very central/walkable location

The new Hampton Inn in So-Bro might be an option. I checked and a room was avaliable for $139.00.

The best Hotel Downtown for the money, is WITHOUT A DOUBT the new Hampton Inn near the Schermerhorn on 4th Ave. I've stayed there a couple times, and the rooms are as nice as the Renaissance or the Hilton, at a reduced price. Parking is in the basement, with a coded gate, and it's free.
