We're doing an overnight trip to Nashville this weekend and I'm looking for places where I can take my son (10) and hang out. It's been a while since I've been downtown, and with the smoking laws, I'm not sure how many of the places allow minors.
I guess if a lot of them do, I won't need specifics, but I just don't want to be wandering around with him aimlessly looking for a restaraunt/bar that he can get in to!

Extra points if you can point me to a nice sports bar where we can watch the hockey finals, or a place with live music that doesn't mind kids!

Thanks in advance!

Default Opry Mills

We love Dave & Buster's at Opry Mills. Lots of games for the kids and big screen TVs for sports.

Thanks for the suggestion. Because of hotel and other events, we will be limited to the downtown area. It is a good idea though.

The Wildhorse Salon allows children, its nonsmoking. Quite a few of the bars are still nonsmoking, and those allow children during the day. The wildhorse has an afternoon show during the weekend, its free.
A good Restaurant is
Big River Grille & Brewing Works (American)
111 Broadway, Nashville, TN 37201. 615-251-4677
Hours :: Sun-Wed 11 am-11 pm; Thurs-Sat 11 am-midnight
It does allow Children, its nonsmoking, and the food is really good.

There is a Good Sports Bar at the Hilton Hotel

The Sportsgrille at the Hilton - Nashville, TN 37201 | Metromix Nashville
The Food is good there also.

Thanks! I really appreciate the information. Hopefully I'll have nice weather for bar-hopping with a 10-year-old
