We had to do the same thing Pooches.

I won't lie, it is lonely at times, but we do enjoy living here...there is lots to do! I think we would have an easier time making friends if we weren't business travelers and gone much of the time. It's a little tough to get involved in your community when only around on weekends.

We don't have remorse because we HAD to move...my husband lost his job in WI. We've got a batch of kids in college so we're tuition machines.

Good Luck to you!

Your Very Welcome. If you need any additional information I'll be glad to help. I've lived here 3 years in July, and I really enjoy it.

You all have been great in responding to this scenario. I am sure ton's of folks have moved to other State's and made a new life without the family unit, come to think of it, many moon's back we did move due to another State for DH's job and enjoyed it for 10 years then moved back to our original homestead and been here since. Anyway, when we make the trip will explore various neighboring town's i.e., Franklin, Mt. Juliet, Murfboro, Brentwood etc. and will know in our heart's after bodily exploring, if it is for us or not down the road.
